How to educate cats? What methods should be used to stop cats from behaving badly?

Cats are naughty and mischievous, such as jumping around in the room, and the bonsai plants in the room cannot escape their clutches. The frequent barking makes the family and neighbors unable to sleep, or they urinate and defecate anywhere, making the room messy. What should parents do when facing such a cat?

1. Find the root of the problem

Many times, your cat does not simply do something for the sake of doing it, but does something unbearable. Your cat may just encounter some difficulties in adapting to the new environment, or need more care and concern. If your cat has no problems before and suddenly attacks, try to think about the reasons that may cause its bad behavior.

The following are some possible reasons:

1. There are troubles when dealing with changes.

If you move to a new home, your cat may still be accustomed to the surrounding environment, so please wait patiently for it to adapt. If you give it a new litter box and it suddenly excretes outside the basin, then switch back to the one it originally likes.

2. Overstimulation.

Your cat may be stimulated by noises outside, neighbors’ dogs, TVs, or even the sounds your visitor tries to care about. Know that your cat sometimes needs a little privacy and quiet.

3. There is not enough entertainment.

Your cat may be very excited and rude because you didn't give it enough care or toys. Play with your cat for a quarter of an hour at least twice a day with a rocking toy, rolling a ball on the floor or giving it a toy bite.

4. Health problems.

It is best to take your cat to a veterinarian to investigate the reasons for your cat's bad behavior.

2. Change its environment

Your cat may show frustration or uneasy behavior due to a bad experience in the past - for example, if it has been frightened while using a litter box, it may resist excretion in the same area again. Try moving the litter box to a quieter place. Or, if you notice your cat is repeatedly excreting in one place, don't put its food bowl there, it won't excrete in the place where it eats.

3. Know when to take your cat to the veterinarian

The behavioral characteristics of your cat may be caused by urination problems, anxiety, indigestion or some other health problems. If you have tried all the ways to stop bad behavior but none of them work, or if your cat shows new and wary problems, take it to the vet quickly. Your veterinarian will let you know if your cat has behavioral diseases, which is best solved by a behavioral expert or trainer; if they can't help you, your cat may have deeper problems.

Finally, there are many ways to punish cats. When punishing, the owner should master reasonable degrees. Parents should clearly distinguish between rewards and punishments, and small punishments and big warnings, and not insult and beat cats at will. Because pet cats also have their own proud personality and their own dignity, it is feasible for owners to punish cats for their wrong behavior and gently patting the cat on the head.
