A beggar, in 6 years, walked 14,000 kilometers pushing a handcart, rescuing injured and sick stray dogs as he walked. He is Edgardo Perros from Mexico.

Rescuing stray dogs is never an easy task, but Edgardo Perros, pushing his tattered and rusted trolley, has been quietly working on rescuing stray dogs for 6 years. Edgardo Perros is not a rich man. On the contrary, he can be said to have nothing. The most valuable items in his hand may be the tattered handcart and the natural dog food given by the enthusiasts. Therefore, I am not afraid of stealing. When I am tired, I find a place to rest on the side of the road and take a break to feed the dog. Many people would look at him with disdain when they saw that his hands were so dirty and he was carrying so many dogs, but he didn't care.

He has walked 14,000 kilometers, which is half of Mexico. With his own meager efforts, Edgardo Perros has rescued more than 500 stray dogs. Along the way, some dogs were taken in by caring people, but some old and frail dogs still followed Edgardo Perros. As the number of rescued stray dogs increases, Edgardo Perros's trolley no longer has enough seats. When setting sail every day, he would give parts of the car to old or sick dogs. Other dogs are kept on leashes, and the leashes are tied to the car to prevent them from running around. But then the ropes ran out and some dogs had to move freely. Fortunately, they were all good and walked beside Edgardo Perros.

In the past 6 years, Edgardo Perros has personally experienced many kinds of helplessness. Sometimes when he found several seriously injured dogs that were dying, he could only stop and sit quietly beside them to spend their last days with them. After rescuing so many dogs, what saddens him the most is not the pitiful eyes of stray dogs or the injuries on their hands, but the fact that some people unscrupulously abandon dogs and leave them carefree outside.

Although Edgardo Perros has already traveled half of Mexico, his rescue journey continues.
