On September 1, Ms. Liu, who lives in Wuxing Village, Honggang District, reported to Daqing Evening News that a resident downstairs of her house kept dozens of cats and dogs, which was very disturbing and unbearable.

Recently, reporters came to Building 1-17, Wuxing Village, Honggang District, to interview this matter.

The barking of dogs in the middle of the night keeps people awake

Ms. Liu told reporters that about two years ago, the first floor of the unit she lived in was sold. When the person who bought the house renovated, he cut the side of the balcony in front of the building and installed a door.

Ms. Liu said that after the new residents moved in, they started to keep animals. Property staff tried to stop them, but to no avail. Later, the residents kept more and more animals, which made them very noisy every day.

"When the dog barks at night, I can't sleep. There are seventy or eighty cats in her house. The smell in the corridor is particularly unpleasant in summer. Our neighbors living upstairs really can't stand it." Ms. Liu said.

There were too many and neighbors called them "unbearable"

During the interview, the reporter learned that there were not many cats and dogs in the residents' homes on the first floor at first. This was due to the continuous reproduction in the past two years. These cats and dogs were usually released at night, which had a big impact on the residents' lives.

Ms. Qin said that it not only caused inconvenience to the neighbors, but also caused a lot of trouble to the cleaning staff in the community.

These cats and dogs have too much feces, and the cleaning staff has become their "excrement scoopers". Especially in the previous stage, when the doors and windows were open, the room was full of stench, and the barking of these cats and dogs made it impossible to rest normally.

The reporter found that in addition to the unpleasant smell in the corridor, there was also a lot of dog feces on the road in the community. The property management staff of the community said that they had tried to persuade the owner many times, but the effect was not satisfactory.

The residents on the first floor said they "will rent a house for placement."

Later, the reporter went to the home of a resident with pets on the first floor.

After knocking on the door and entering the house, the reporter saw cats and dogs everywhere on the sofa, floor, bed, and windowsill. The reporter roughly counted and found that there were no less than 40 cats, large and small, and five or six dogs. There were also some cats and dogs outside.

The lady on the first floor has hearing impairment and can only communicate with her by typing on WeChat. She said that all the animals she adopted were stray animals. The reporter praised her kindness, but also explained that so many animals in the residential building affected other residents.

This lady said that she would rent a bungalow nearby to house them. If caring people want to adopt these stray animals, she can also give them to them for free.
