With the continuous development of social economy, people's living standards and ideas have changed greatly. Now more and more people in life choose to raise a pet dog as their companion in life, and some even treat dogs as their family. But in fact, for many novice parents, whether they can raise pet dogs well is a problem. For example, there are many requirements for diet, exercise and bathing. Take bathing as an example. Should dogs take baths every day in winter? What issues should be paid attention to when bathing a dog in winter?

1. Do not take baths too frequently in winter

For pet dogs, no matter which season, the number of baths should be scientific and they must not be ignored, but they cannot be washed too frequently. If you don’t bathe the dog, many bacteria will grow on the dog, which is not only not conducive to its own growth and is prone to illness, but also has a heavy body odor, which also has a great impact on the family environment; but if you take a bath too frequently, you won’t be able to take a bath every day, because bathing will destroy the dog’s skin protective layer and easily cause the dog to suffer from skin diseases.

In addition, the temperature in winter is relatively low. If you don’t pay attention to drying your hair in time or keeping warm, the possibility of a dog catching a cold will be high. Therefore, it is not recommended to bathe your dog every day. Generally speaking, you can take a bath three times a month in spring and autumn. The weather is hot in summer. You can take a bath once a week and twice a month in winter.

2. The water temperature for bathing in winter should not be particularly high

When bathing a pet dog in winter, because the temperature is relatively low, parents will turn the water temperature very high, for fear that the dog will catch a cold, but if the temperature is too high, it will backfire. On the one hand, the water temperature will be too high, which will burn the dog. In addition, if the dog leaves a psychological shadow, the dog will be afraid of taking a bath in the future and will not cooperate when taking a bath. This will make the dog bathing later.

Therefore, when bathing a dog, the water temperature should be controlled between 37-40 degrees.

3. Use special pet dog shower gel

Because the pH and alkalinity of the shower gel received by dogs and human skin is different, it is not recommended to use human shower gel when bathing dogs. The shower gel used by dogs for a long time will not only not effectively sterilize and disinfect, but in severe cases, it will even cause the dog to shed hair.

4. Blow dry the hair in time after taking a bath

The temperature is low in winter and the temperature difference is large. If you bathe the dog in winter, you must open it in time after taking a bath and wipe it dry and blow dry it. This can prevent the dog from catching a cold, otherwise the dog will recover very slowly in winter. After bathing the dog that day, try not to let the dog go outdoor activities.

5. Do not take a bath for a dog that has just eaten, do not bathe the dog, because the dog is digesting at this time. The bathing will cause blood vessels to dilate, which will indirectly cause less blood in the dog's tail, which will lead to later indigestion and even stomach problems.

Therefore, there is actually a lot of knowledge in the care of pet dogs. As parents of pet dogs, we should learn as much as possible about professional scientific knowledge on raising pets, so that scientific feeding can be achieved and dogs can grow up healthily.
