The reason for the long bag on dogs may be parasitic infections, skin allergies or dermatitis, or skin hypertrophy, eczema, skin cancer, etc.
1. Mosquito bites
After a dog is bitten by a mosquito, a red tumour as big as a bean will appear on the bitten area, which is relatively hard to touch. If the owner is not sure, you can consult a professional pet doctor, then clean and disinfect the dog's wounds, and use pet-specific ointments to treat mosquito bites to relieve itching and swelling of the wounds.
2. Malabsorbent vaccine
If the dog has a long bag after being vaccinated, it may be because the drug has not been absorbed in time, so the bag, lumps and small bumps are formed under the skin. This is a normal phenomenon, the owner does not have to worry, it can be improved by hot compress.
3. Subcutaneous hematoma
If the dog has suffered external damage, such as collisions, fights and bites, injuring the capillaries during this process, it may form a subcutaneous hematoma, causing swelling. At this time, the owner must first determine the size of the hematoma, and then choose the appropriate intervention method. If the hematoma is relatively small, it can generally subside on its own. The owner only needs to apply anti-inflammatory and anti-itch ointment to the dog to prevent itching. If the hematoma is relatively large and fluid has been accumulated in the hematoma, you need to take the dog to the pet hospital for treatment in time and treat it through puncture and drainage.
4. Tumor
If the dog's bag becomes larger and larger, and there is no sign of disappearing, and the dog has a fever or is in poor spirits, it is likely that it has a tumor. At this time, it is recommended that the owner take the dog to the pet hospital for an examination immediately to see if the tumor is benign or malignant. If it is a benign tumor, surgical resection is generally chosen. If it is a malignant tumor, radiotherapy and chemotherapy may be required after the surgical resection.
