Anyone who has bought a dog knows that there are many varieties of dogs, and the prices vary. Some are as small as a few hundred, some are as large as a few hundred, and some are even thousands or tens of thousands. Many people are curious, why are the prices of dogs so different? Why are some dogs more expensive than others? Below I can give you a brief introduction to several current channels for dogs.

There are currently about 120 million pet trading dogs in China, which are mainly divided into professional kennels, in-house breeding, pet markets, flower and bird markets, informal channels, etc. After reading the following analysis, you will know the difference between expensive dogs and cheap dogs.

1. Professional kennels

The quality of puppies produced by professional kennels is relatively high. Of course, this means that the price will be relatively high. In professional kennels, the price for each breeding is 4-5 digits or even higher.

The dog food selected for breeding dogs or puppies is also mid-to-high-end dog food, about 10-35 yuan/kg. Puppies need three shots of vaccine and two dewormings from 50 to 80 days old.

So, how come such a puppy is not expensive?

2. Home-breeding

Home-bred generally refers to puppies born from ordinary family pet dogs. This is cheaper, but the quality of the puppies is much healthier than those from informal channels.

Owners of home-bred puppies generally do not want to sell them for money. They usually just want to find a good owner for their puppies. And if the dog mothers take good care of their puppies, the puppies they give birth to will naturally be good.

However, one thing to note when breeding at home is that it is possible to buy dogs with less pure bloodlines.

3. Pet markets, flower and bird markets, and informal channels

Dogs sold in these places are often very cheap, with prices only one-fifth or less of those in professional kennels. Because the dogs sold in these places usually have impure bloodlines, and some even use puppies to pass themselves off as purebred dogs. Because I am not a professional, it is still difficult for ordinary dogs to tell the difference when they are young.

Of course, in addition to the above channels, everyone should be careful when buying Zhou dogs. These are purely for profit. Such female dogs will give birth to many babies a year, and the quality of the puppies they give birth to will not be very good, and some of them are not vaccinated.

If you want to raise a dog, if you have the conditions, you should go to a professional kennel or buy one from your own breeder. Of course, if you have bought one that is not in good condition, don’t dislike them. As long as the dogs are healthy, they are actually very cute~
