Carragher believes that Semenho will be a good addition to Liverpool during the winter window.
There was news earlier this week that Semenho will leave Bournemouth in the winter window if the 65 million pound ($86 million) release clause in his contract is activated. He just renewed his contract with the club in July this year.
Carragher said: "I don't think this group of players has the ability to win the league this season. Look at their performance in the Champions League, they are very good. Wirtz's best performances have come in the Champions League."
"I think they need to recruit more physical players and maybe even sign them in January. I just saw that there is a January release clause in Semenho's contract, and he has obviously been contacted by sporting director Richard Hughes. When you really understand his characteristics as a player, you will find that he is extremely fast, tall and powerful. "
"Liverpool is not fast enough on the wing, and Salah is not a flyer, and neither is Gakpo. I think the team needs to improve speed, physical confrontation and strength."
Semenho was pursued by many top clubs during the summer window, but he finally stayed at Bournemouth and performed well at the start of the new season, contributing 6 goals and 3 assists. Previous reports claimed that Liverpool, Manchester City and Tottenham were all keeping an eye on Semenho and could make a move in January.
