On June 29, Chelsea's game against Benfica was interrupted due to a thunderstorm detecting near the Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte. The game lasted for 4 hours and 39 minutes. On July 1, Orlando also predicts thunderstorms. Manchester City will face Saudi team Riyadh Crescent at 9 pm local time.
Under US regulations, if bad weather is detected within 8 miles of the game venue, players will return to the locker room and fans will be evacuated.
