A few days ago, Arsenal legendary defender Martin Keeon talked about the most difficult opponent in his career.

In an interview with talkSPORT, Keon was asked whether there were any opponents in his career that wowed him. Keon, who has faced super forwards such as Ronaldo, Rivaldo, Henry, Romario, and Ronaldo in his career, recalled the away game for Villa in March 1989.

Wardle won two goals in that Tottenham 2-0 victory. When the first record was opened in the 23rd minute, Wardle passed the ball directly at the edge of the penalty area, drifted past Keon and shot the ball in the upper corner. The second goal, Wardle, lightly picked the ball over Keon's head, and then a stunning volley was shot straight into the dead corner.

Keon said: "Do you know? Actually more than once! But the one who impressed him the most was Wardel, who represented Villa against Tottenham."

"That was the midweek game. I pressed him on the edge of the penalty area and had already defended to the extreme, but he grabbed the ball from me. When I turned around, the ball kicked by the left-footed player drew an arc over my left shoulder and drilled directly into the right side of the goal. It was like a perfect banana ball!"

"I have to respect him, it's such a difficult opponent. Maybe he has not received the praise he deserves so far, a top player."
