A few days ago, Liverpool legend John Barnes talked about Isaac's transfer storm in an interview. In Barnes's view, he doesn't like the practice of players stopping the training for the sake of transfers.

■Transfer storm about Isaac

"This transfer doesn't make much sense to me. In the past, after a player signed and joined, there would not be such uncertainty about whether he would come or not. With Isaac, Liverpool would be stronger, but even without him, they were still excellent. But for Newcastle, this is more unsettling than any other club. For Liverpool, it's OK for him to come or not, but Newcastle must reintegrate him into the team."

■In Barnes's view, this is the football world today - players' power has reached an unprecedented height, and they can dominate the transfer to a certain extent.

"This is not new. We have seen it in the past five, six or seven years. I don't like this practice. If you play for a club, you have the responsibility to be a good teammate and a good player, and the fans have always supported you. But this is modern football, we have to get used to it."
