The Sun counts the jersey sales of British airports (Manchester, London Stansted Airport and East Midlands Airport). Manchester United ranks first, with Manchester City, England and Arsenal rank second to fourth.
Despite a bad season, Manchester United topped the list with jersey sales at the UK airport, Manchester City ranked second and England ranked third. Arsenal's jersey sales rank first at London Stansted Airport, and three airports under Manchester Airport Group are also in the top five. Tottenham ranks only 8th at London Stansted Airport.
Adminton Japp, head of communications at Manchester Airport Group, said: "Airports have always been a place where people like to express loyalty to football, whether it is fans who go to watch games at home or abroad, or international tourists who come to the UK to watch games. Despite the poor performance this season, Manchester United's attractiveness across the UK and among inbound tourists seems to be as strong as ever."
