NVIDIA/Intel Cooperation Enforcement Department? Chen Guanzhou: Two-party technical mutual complementary cooperation has progressed well

GPU manufacturer NVIDIA announced on the 18th that it would invest US$5 billion in stake in Intel, a major processor manufacturer. The two companies will jointly develop AI infrastructure and personal computing and other products. Although the positive news of the cooperation between the two companies further stimulated the stock price to rise. However, the market is worried that NVIDIA Intel's cooperation may swell the joint venture that has previously announced a cooperation with NVIDIA, which has changed the planned computer processor cooperation case, causing the stock price of Joint Venture to fall by more than 4% at the closing of the Taiwan Stock Exchange on the 19th, falling below 1,500 yuan.

According to the cooperation statement jointly issued by NVIDIA and Intel, the core of the cooperation lies in the use of NVIDIA's NVLink technology to achieve a threadless connection with the Intel architecture. This will combine NVIDIA's outstanding advantages in artificial intelligence (AI) and accelerated computing, closely with Intel's leading central processor (CPU) technology and broad x86 ecosystem, to jointly provide the most advanced solutions for global customers. In the future, in the data center field, Intel will design and manufacture customized x86 CPUs according to NVIDIA's needs. NVIDIA will integrate these x86 CPUs designed for it into its own AI-based facility platform and launch them to the market. This deep integration is expected to bring unprecedented performance and efficiency improvements to AI computing infrastructure.

However, such a plan was interpreted by the market as possible to impact the joint department that had previously announced a partnership with NVIDIA. The cooperation between Technologies and NVIDIA began in 2022, and the result of the cooperation between the two companies is GB10 chips. The chip is regarded as a CPU and memory design of the Department of Developers, further combining the achievements of NVIDIA's GPU professional technology. NVIDIA successfully demonstrates how to integrate its Blackwell GPU into a tight and efficient packaging by leveraging industry standard interfaces and communication protocols through its extensive experience in system single chips (SoCs). This breakthrough GB10 chip integrates 20 Arm v9.2 CPU cores, Blackwell graphics cores with 31 TFLOPs FP32 performance, and a unified LPDDR5X memory up to 128GB. These advanced components are made of N3 stages of tyres and are presented in dual-dielet packaging.

However, because on the 18th, NVIDIA announced that it had cooperated with Intel and even invested $5 billion to invest. The two companies strengthened their cooperation methods, and the legal person believed that it might cause the cooperation case with the Joint Development Department to change. In response to this, Chen Guanzhou, general manager of the Department of Development, responded that the products and technologies of the Department of Development and NVIDIA are complementary, and the cooperation between the two parties is wide and is not limited to a single product, including final computing, general computing, vehicle market, cloud sector (such as NVLink related cooperation), etc. These cooperation is a proof of the consistency of the strategy of the two companies. It is currently progressing well and complies with the original plan. It is expected to produce development results as expected within two or three years.
