England defender Dan Byrne suffered a broken hand in the Premier League last weekend, but he said he can still participate in the next World Cup qualifier.

In the last national team warm-up match, England defeated Wales 3-0 at home. Dan Byrne did not play because he fractured his hand. During England training this week, Dan Byrne was spotted with a bandage on his hand, which he sustained in Newcastle's 2-0 Premier League win over Nottingham Forest. The 33-year-old Dan Byrne is 2 meters tall and is Newcastle's main central defender.

Dan Byrne said: "I broke my hand bone, but I don't even know how I injured it. I think I was pulling someone, and then I felt something cracked. It was at the beginning of the second half of the game. Then I went to get a scan and saw a specialist."

Dan Byrne emphasized that despite the hand injury, he could participate in the game. "I was told that I could play through the injury. I'm ready for the next World Cup qualifier against Latvia, and I'm ready for Newcastle's next game. In fact, I was also ready for tonight's game (against Wales). I won't miss the game because of a broken hand! It's not a big problem, I have suffered more serious injuries than this. I'm ready and can play at any time."

England led Wales 3-0 in the first 20 minutes of this warm-up match, Dan Byrne continued. : "This is a great victory. The performance in the past two games is exactly what we need. You can see the team style brought by the coach. Each of us is fighting for each other, and I felt that we performed very well in the first 30 minutes of the game."

Finally, Dan Byrne said: "It's really great. What we have to do now is to maintain this state throughout the game. We may have relaxed a little after leading 3-0. Now we are looking forward to going to Latvia for the World Cup qualifiers."
