During the Club World Cup, celebrity Marclayle was interviewed by FIFA.

What do you think of the Club World Cup?

Since arriving in the United States, I have seen everything go smoothly and the fans are very involved. I went to watch Paris Saint-Germain against Atletico Madrid and was completely shocked. Everything was in place, and the fans enjoyed a wonderful game on the packed stadium, and the atmosphere was very warm. I think this game is really worthy of such an occasion. Everyone left with a smile. Does the

Club World Cup hold in the United States make it particularly attractive?

Yes, we are here on the land of the "American Dream". This is how we think of it in Europe. I think this competition has also inspired people's expectations for the 2026 World Cup. The core of football lies in cultural diversity, which is also a major attraction. The sport connects people from all over the world.

What do you think of the current state of Paris Saint-Germain?

They are the best teams right now. They provide football for fans that are both entertaining and efficient.

Do you agree with Louis Enrique's point of view that European teams are the favorites to win the championship?

Yes, absolutely agree. European teams have always been ahead in performance and football tradition. It is difficult for other teams to catch up with this gap. I think the United States has made great progress through major league football and has successfully attracted players and coaches from major European leagues. We can't ignore South American teams, either. Clubs in Brazil and Argentina can also bring great challenges to European teams.

You played for Paris Saint-Germain, Chelsea and Real Madrid and won the Champions League in 2002. Which club do you want to see enter the finals of this World Club Cup?

I can't decide, I have had great time on these three teams. I left unforgettable memories with every step, so of course I hope any of these three teams will make it to the finals.

Looking back on your time at Paris Saint-Germain from 2008 to 2011, what do you think?

My time at Paris Saint-Germain was at the end of my career. We have to rebuild the club because at some stage, from a football perspective, the club is in a difficult situation. I had to be the captain, instill my values, and help educate many teammates. Since the Qatari took over, the club has changed and has really improved its level. I am very proud to see Paris Saint-Germain making such great progress and I feel like I have contributed to the success of this project.

Regarding Chelsea, did you win the Premier League title in 2005 and 2006?

When I joined Chelsea, it was a bit like Paris Saint-Germain. The standards were not high at the time, but we helped the club to join the international elite. Today, Chelsea has become a world-renowned strong team and brand. For example, there are many Chelsea fans in the United States.

In the early 21st century, you played for Real Madrid with superstars such as Zidane, Ronaldo, Figo and Raul, becoming a member of the famous "Galaxy Battleship". What unforgettable memories are there in this glorious time?

There are too many trophys, clubs... for me, there is no comparison. Real Madrid has always been the best club in the world. If you want to say the person who impressed me the most, it must be Boske, who is the mastermind behind all this. Without such a charming coach, it would be impossible to form a "Galaxy Battleship". it's out of the question.

What impressed you most?

His charm and vision. He is unique. I remember when we were in the trough against Barcelona in the Champions League semi-finals. Before the first leg of the game, we listened to him explaining the tactics in the locker room. He said to everyone, "Enjoy the game. We are Real Madrid and we will try our best to win the game, but if we lose, it is not the end of the world. It's just football, we're all going home and enjoying time with our family and children". He took all the pressure off our shoulders. I still remember everyone was shocked and looked at each other. When we stepped onto the court, we felt very relaxed and finally won 2-0. The best pre-match speech is calm and sensible. The key is to give full play to the advantages of the team and players, and Boske knows this very well.

Is that "Galaxy Battleship" the best team in your career?

No doubt yes. The word "Galaxy Battleship" refers to the best players in the world. They are all leaders of their respective national teams, which says it all. The only other team that can reach this level is AC Milan, which has Barreci and Gulit. We followed in their footsteps, but never had such a team ever since.

What other coaches have had a profound impact on you?

Ancelotti had a great influence on me. I started a new chapter in my career as his assistant coach at Paris Saint-Germain (2011-2012). He ignited my passion for coaching. I spent a lot of time observing him and we talked a lot. I learned a lot from him. He taught me to focus on individuals, he is a true professional. We often ignore the human side of football. Many coaches ignore this and ignore the player's background, but he is not.
