Daewoo Information announced today that it will change the name of its parent company to "Star Fusion Group" and will retain "Daewoo Information" completely as a subsidiary to focus on the gaming business. An extraordinary shareholders' meeting is expected to be held on December 23. Chairman Tu Junguang issued an internal letter to employees, revealing the three-level meaning behind the name change.

Daewoo Information was founded in 1988 and was founded by Li Yongjin. Later, the current chairman Tu Junguang led a new team to take over. After selling IPs such as Xianjian and Xuanyuanjian last year, it invested in Taiwan Photomask and ALi in the semiconductor supply chain, as well as Anrui-KY in the information security, Hazen in the power system, Quanda in the electronic channel, and also entered the fields of Japanese catering Chikuzenya and AI catering robots.

In response to Daewoo Capital’s plan to change its name to “Optical Condensation and Electronics United”, Tu Junguang issued an internal letter to employees stating that what they are doing today is not just a change of LOGO, but a very serious vision of “condensation of light and integration of wisdom” to become the core driver of the new generation of smart industries and become a holding and operating company with technology + semiconductor + energy as the core.

Tu Junguang pointed out that "Light Concentrator Joint" covers three levels of meaning. The first level is mission. The light of "Light Concentrator" represents technology, and "Condensate" represents integration. What is important is to keep the system lit, the production line stable, and the power grid supported. This is not a slogan, but a responsibility, and the crystal of "Chengdian" represents semiconductor and technology core. Heart and electricity represent power grids, electricians, and energy; "United" represents the willingness to connect with each other instead of each doing his or her own thing. Putting these three things together is to take "fusion" as the core spirit, combine semiconductor, electric power and software intelligence, use innovative technology to drive energy and industry upgrading, and create a cross-border collaborative technology ecological group.

The second level is each other. Tu Junguang pointed out that as new and old teams gradually enter the group structure, management will be required to use a more complete communication method to truly understand each other's working modes, instead of just looking at numbers and reports. It will also require the decision-making rhythm to involve "people with different languages ​​" from the beginning, rather than notifying them after the work is done, because it is not "requiring everyone to follow up", but "to define new practices together."

The third layer is the future. Tu Junguang pointed out that semiconductors are the lifeblood of the whole world. Now we need not only to have production capacity, but also to have the ability to define what the chip looks like, how to design it, and how to ensure that key processes are not stuck. The team members brought in include Taiwan Mask, Halo, ALi, Quanda, Sanquan, Milo, Shuke, and Flashpoint.

In terms of energy and power, Tu Junguang pointed out that strong power grids, power distribution equipment, EPC overall engineering services and smart energy storage systems are indispensable. In order to keep the lights on for a long time, so that factories can operate with confidence and so that cities can continue to breathe, members include Hazen, Sanjiang, Baile Qianxiang, Lanque, Dara Electric Energy, and Lei Welding.

In terms of information security and systems, Tu Junguang pointed out that at first glance it seems to be a very technical thing, but as long as the system is attacked, the data is locked, and the cash flow is stuck, a company will really stop. Therefore, what we are doing is to help others hold up the base so that the work, information, and payment of many people will not be interrupted by an unexpected situation. Tu Junguang shared that in terms of content, IP, brand, catering, and experience, with "content + experience + consumption" as the core, life is not just about pressure, not just production lines, not just delivery, but helping people leave emotional memory points. Its members include Daewoo, Xingyu, Zhuyuanwu, Yujia, Yunfang, and Taijia.

Tu Junguang emphasized that many great companies have gone through name changes. The name change is to make the future clearer, to have clearer governance and capital allocation, and to move towards the next goal. The future task of the parent company is to build a holding and operating company with technology + energy + semiconductors as the core, rather than "a game company with many side businesses." The goal is to open up the next generation.
