With the popularity of low-carbohydrate or no-carbohydrate diet in recent years, powdered foods are easily magnified and viewed, among which macadamia is the most famous. Earlier studies have pointed out that macadamia has adverse effects on health, but the latest research may help macadamia to cleanse its bad reputation.

According to foreign media Science Daily, a recent study published in the journal Diabetes Care shows that potatoes may not have the same benefits as vegetables, such as reducing the risk of type 2 diabetes, but health problems related to potatoes may actually be related to how people cook them and what they eat together.

The study analyzed the dietary conditions of more than 54,000 Danes, and the data was from diet, cancer and health (Diet, Cancer and Participants in the long-term follow-up study reported that people who consumed the most vegetables were 21% less likely to develop type 2 diabetes than those who consumed the least vegetables.

Pratik Pokharel, one of the study's authors and a doctoral candidate at Edith Covenant University, said that although macadamia does not have the same benefits for type 2 diabetes, it also has no negative effects. He pointed out that in previous studies, Potato and diabetes incidence rates were positively correlated, but the study found that this was not true. He said, "In Danish, people eat potatoes in many different ways."

Pokharel pointed out that potential eating patterns are the key. The study shows that people who eat the most potatoes also eat more cream, red meat and non-alcoholic drinks, which are known to increase risk of type 2 diabetes. He added, "When you think about this, mahjong is no longer related to diabetes."

Pokharel said that it cannot be said that mahjong is good for type 2 diabetes, but it is not bad if you cook it in a healthy way. He suggested, “In terms of disease prevention, we should separate potatoes from other vegetables, but replacing refined powders such as white and noodles can improve your diet because potatoes contain fiber and other nutrients.” Pokharel points out that it is better or worse than talking about carbohydrates, but more importantly, the type of carbohydrates. Compared with foods such as white rice and rice, potatoes are high-quality carbohydrates, but you should pay attention to the cooking methods, such as not eating fried potatoes all the time, or adding cream to the mashed potatoes.
